On the Weekend of December 12th – 15th 2008, ICTF President Master J.Cartiati VIII and Master C.Stanley VII flew into Leeds from Toronto as our guests to conduct Kup Grading Examinations and Black Belt Training. The weekend was a complete success with 135 students grading in front of these 2 highly respected and knowledgable world Masters.
Thanks again to Master Cariati and Master Stanley for travelling overseas just for NTX Schools, they have made a lasting impression on all of us. To receive their wealth of knowledge and wisdom has been an absolute honour. Their kind and approachable, humble manor and lack of ego has really impressed everyone. We have already made plans for their visit in 2009, so we can look forward to seeing them again.
The Masters were very impressed with the standard of our students and in their etiquette and knowledge of korean terminology and history. They gave praise to the parents for their support and to the Instructors for their hard work. We are very fortunate to have been able to bring The Masters over and we do not take their time for granted.
Sunday saw the senior training session, the ICTF have a wealth of instructors all over the world who specialise in more than just Taekwondo, we were able to have The Masters show the children how to break fall amongst other things. The Masters also took all of the Students and Instructors through their new patterns and basic techniques. In the Instructor training session sparring drills were covered, placing attention upon footwork.
NTX Schools are very proud to have had two of the very best Masters in the World to visit and help us. Both Masters trained under General Choi himself and travelled with him many many times. To have learnt our patterns and techniques and to have shared conversation and learned from their experience is overwhelming.
