Stay Cool this Summer
Saturday, May 10th, 2008Regular training in temperatures over 20 Degrees Celsius can significantly reduce mental concentration and physical endurance. Staying well hydrated by taking small regular volumes of water, rather that large amounts infrequently, is important for recovery after exercise, prevention of dehydration and general health. The Food Standard Agency recommends between 500mls to 1litre of water to be consumed for every hour of exercise on top of the regular suggested daily intake of fluids.
