Membership
If you’re interested in training with NTX Schools, simply complete the Annual Membership Application Form at your 1st Class. This document is also available on our ‘Downloads’ Page. Should you wish to join NTX Schools after this point, please bring the £25 Annual Membership Fee to your 2nd lesson. We will not train individuals without valid in-date membership. Training without valid membership is, we believe, unethical and irresponsible. This fee is not refundable should you wish to leave NTX Schools and is not transferable to any other Martial Arts Organisation.

All Ages Welcome
We accept applications from individuals aged 5 to 65 Years of age in good health. You may be refused if your application form is incompletely or illegibly returned. Individuals with serious medical disorders or in whom it is felt that, on balance, physical exercise may actually be potentially harmful, a further supplementary application form may need to be completed. Further to this, applications from such individuals may be rejected.
NTX Schools & Affiliation
1. The International Chang’Hon TaeKwon-Do Federation
This is the International Link for NTX Schools. The ICTF advises us on TaeKwon-Do Techniques, Sparring & Patterns as well as validating all our Grading Examinations and Black Belts Certifications. The ICTF also organises International Tournaments and Seminars as well as providing further Examinations upto and beyond First Degree Black Belt. Our 1st International Seminar was hosted on Saturday December 8th when we hosted Grandmaster Steiner IXth Degree and Master Fruitstone VIIth Degree.
2. The Amateur Martial Association
In the United Kingdom, we are regulated by our Governing Body, the AMA. They provide Insurance, CRB Clearance, Instructors Courses, NVQ Qualifications and National Tournaments. They also update us on changes to Government Legislation and United Kingdom Law which may be relevant to the Study of Martial Arts. The external grading examiner for NTX Schools in Yorkshire is a member of the AMA and teaches near York.
Overview of the Cost of Training
For something of Quality and Susbtance, one must be prepared to offer something in Exchange. The total Financial Cost for Training cannot be easily quantified, but this will include:

Annual Membership Fee - £25

Training Fees - Paid by Monthly Standing Order at most Classes - £20-30 per month

Equipment & Clothing Fees - These are not needed until you have begun regular Training

Grading Examination Fees - These are held every 3-4 Months with External Examiners - £25
Please note that all costs for Goods and Services received are set for the Current Financial Year upto April 2008. These may be subject to review following this date are not refundable. Our overall cost of Training from Beginner to 1st Degree Black Belt is similar to other TaeKwon-Do Organsiations and offers, we believe, both Flexibility and Value. Students who are experiencing Financial Hardship should not have their Training adversely affected because of this and may be able to apply for Assistance with their Training Fees.
