Juts over 100 students successfully completed the first Grading Examination of the year on Saturday March 29th. At both venues, there was an overall improvment in standards particularly of Kicking Techniques and Stances. The External Examiner commented on the higher standards of the 9th and 10th Kups in comparison to last year’s Gradings. The first Examination for Adults also took place, with top mark score of 25 being recorded. This was also the first time that the new streamlined Self-Defence and Fixed Sparring Syllabus was examined, which was designed to make these disciplines more realistic. Changes to our previous such syllabus was made at the recommendation of the ICTF, so as to make this a more integral part of our TaeKwon-Do.
June 14th 2008 – Summer Grading Examination
With summer just around the corner, Students prepared for their examination with holidays on their minds. A new group of seniors were successfully promoted with further improvements in the standards of Self Defence Techniques and Patterns.
April 26th – TKD Demonstration
On Saturday April 26th, nearly 200 Spectators filled the North Leeds venue for the year’s TKD Exhbition & Demonstration.
The Students all performed brilliantly and showed just a sample of the techniquess that they have learnt during their Taekwondo careers so far. The adults then showed their destruction skills and performed some patterns.
Finally, the Student’s dedicated their final two performances to their families and friends as a thank you for helping to make their training possible.
The positive feedback was overwhelming and hopefully this has inspired some of the audience to take up Taekwondo and has definately inspired the rest of us to keep training hard, getting ready for the many events that are coming up this year for NTX Schools.
Thank you once again to the audience, your payment at the door has been split between a substantial donation to the School to help them with maintenance and also a large donation to the RSPCA. NTX Schools will always endeavour to support charities and our venues alike. We realise that the venues help and support allows us to continue to pioneer Taekwondo.
